Dr. Rice says he is God's "under shepherd". Always ensuring that God is the head and he is the servant. He is a devoted husband to Rev. First Lady Cheryl Rice and she describes her husband as a "loving and caring man with a servant's heart". Dr. Rice is a man ready and willing to follow God's guidance.
The preacher
God had his hands on Rev. Dr. Joseph Rice at a young age. He was “spirited”, using a broom stick as a microphone to sing and preach to family and friends.
Rev. Dr. Joseph Rice accepted his call at age 21 after a car accident that nearly took his life. He promised God he would preach his word and is doing so.
The Singer
Rev. Dr. Joseph Rice became the lead singer of the Fairfield Four performing on television and traveling to Tokyo, London, Spain, England and other countries. He has awards including a Dove, two Grammies, two Stellars and induction into the Rock & Roll and Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
